With a career spanning over three decades, Hamburg-based DJ and producer Alex_Audio has been a dedicated figure in the underground electronic music scene since the early 1990s.

His journey began in 1993, digging through the crates of Hamburg’s iconic record stores like Container Records and Unit Vinyl Base.

By 1994, he was already shaping the local scene, co-organizing techno events with Sven Dohse and securing a landmark residency at the legendary BRONX Hamburg, which he held until 1999.

Over the years, Alex became a staple of Hamburg’s nightlife, holding long-standing residencies at key venues including Dualbar (2003–2012) and Mandalay (2006–2014), where he also hosted the "RE/UNION CLUB" Thursdays.

On the production front, Alex’s collaborative mindset led to the birth of the "Royal Dudes" project in 2007 alongside Jakob Seidensticker, Henrik Raabe (Wareika), and Philip Andernach (Meute).

Their track "Driver Seat" achieved commercial success, featured on the Ministry of Sound Annual 2007.

Working closely as a co-producer with Jakob Seidensticker, his production touch,focusing on raw sounds, rhythmic structures, and arrangements,led to highly sought-after releases on Ostwind Records (with the vinyl-only "Twee" selling out in just one week) and Lebensfreude Records.

After a creative hiatus, Alex_Audio returned in 2025 with a renewed focus, bringing his curated vinyl mixes to SoundCloud and Instagram. Moving into 2026, he is launching a new vinyl-based record label alongside fresh co-productions with long-time collaborator Jakob Seidensticker.

Driven by a lifelong passion, Alex continues to support pure vinyl and club culture, bridge the gap between emerging artists and scene veterans, and, above all, share the joy of music.
